It's "CREATION DAY!"
Today is April 1st, 2020.
April fool’s day. It is the brand new baby day of a brand new baby month and I declare today “CREATION DAY!”
Why would I pick today of all days, April Fool’s Day, as Creation Day? Well, because I think one of the biggest tricks that has been played on us is that we do not have the power to create our lives. We have carefully been taught to pray to a bearded man in the sky and beg for whatever heart’s desire we are trying to manifest. I am not sure, but that may be Santa Claus…?
We have forgotten that as children of the Most High, we have the power to create too. That as we partner with the Divine within us, we tap into Divine Ideas or seeds that have been planted within us that are waiting for us to love and nurture them. We each have a secret desire that we have been quietly dreaming of.
One of my secret desires is to write a blog. I’ve been thinking about it and beating myself up for not doing it for years.
What is yours? What is that secret thing you have been wanting to create that you haven’t yet? Once you allow yourself the pleasure of the idea and say it out loud, I invite you to honestly ask yourself why you haven’t created it yet?
Inevitably, your mind will come up with loads of practical reasons why it will never work and why you would be crazy to do it. But see if you can dig a little deeper. There could be a thought or limiting idea that is under all the practical ones. Maybe you stop yourself because you tell yourself you don’t know how to do, it and what if you put it out into the world and it is WRONG. Or perhaps, you are afraid that if people see your creation they will make decisions about you or judge you based on your creation and find you lacking in some way. Perhaps you are afraid it will be painful to tell your story or manifest your creation because of past experiences where it was not received well, or you were shamed.
These are a few examples of thoughts that block the flow of creation before we even allow ourselves the vision of it. We often shut ourselves down before the Idea can fully form. If it is an idea that keeps coming back even after we shut it down, I believe it is a Divine Idea. Something that is YOURS to do that nobody else can do quite like you can.
What if the journey to manifesting or creating this idea brings you the joy, passion and prosperity that you have been longing for?
My challenge for you (and myself as I go way out of my comfort zone to write my first blog) is to really look at these fears or limiting thoughts.
Ok, what if I write my blog and it totally sucks and people judge me as a terrible writer? What is the worst that could happen? Yes, some people might hate it.
So what?
I’ll have more information and I will try new things.
So what?
Some people hate it and I bet there are some people with whom it will resonate.
So what?
I may do it wrong but the more I do it the better I will get at it. And people will get to see by watching my journey that we learn to walk by falling down a lot. You will usually find that if you apply “spiritual logic” to your fears and limiters you will find that they are just shadows. They are devices created by your mind to protect you and keep you safe by locking you in a room. Sooner or later you will realize that YOU have the key to the lock.
So...I declare today CREATION DAY!!
What are you going to create today? What Divine Idea has your Divine Voice been singing to you over and over? Instead of locking this idea into a dark room to keep it “safe,” bring it into the light. Hold it in your arms and nurture it like you would a tiny little baby. Water it, feed it, tell it how much you love it and watch it grow into a beloved creation.
As a performing artist, I realize that I create something out of nothing every time I sing a note. I bet you can recall many times in your life where you created something out of nothing. Did you know that was what you were doing? Do you realize that is how All There Is was created? What if you took the risk?
Feel the fear and do it anyway. And remember, I will be right there with you... jumping out of our comfort zone together and wondering if we can fly.
Quote of the Day:
“Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself.”
